When my little one outgrew the family basinet, I was presented with the option of moving the crib up a flight of stairs (temporarily) or moving our bed down a flight of stairs (temporarily). Thus, I had a need for a third option.
After looking at a variety of play pens / "Play and Go" products, I realized that the sleeping compartments were too small (weight limits of 15 to 20 lbs.) and the lower level platforms too uncomfortable for sleeping. Although I could not find the Baby Bjorn Travel Crib at any local retail outlets, I went ahead with the purchase (based on the reviews of others). I have not regretted the decision since.
The product is light, compact, and from all indications extremely comfortable for sleeping. We only use the Travel Crib for sleeping (not as a play environment), but we use it every night. We are especially happy that when we travel, the crib easily folds up to a convenient size (roughly the size of a briefcase) for transport, but also because the baby gets to sleep in a familiar platform even though we are in a different location. As a too frequently sleep deprived father, I look for all the advantages I can get helping my little one get a good night of sleep.Get more detail about BABYBJÖRN Travel Crib Light Blue.
