I bought this travel crib because of such great reviews. I had never heard of one of these before. I thought only pack n plays existed for travel sleeping for babies. Well we travel a lot and my son has never had a major issue sleeping in a pack n play but i was concerned about the big bar going down the middle of it and I thought it didn't seem very comfortable. Plus its extremely heavy and I am unable to lift it because of major back problems. when i saw how light and compact this thing is, I was sold! Its very cozy inside for sleeping and its dark netting makes it good for sleeping. The mattress could be thicker in my opinion but its WORLDS better than the pack n play rock hard mattress if thats what you can call it. My only concern was if this could be used as a "playpen." Well its not as big it seems for that but it works fine. My son is 16 months and has "playpen time" where he just plays quietly in there for 20 minutes once a day to calm down and focus a bit. he hasn't complained about this at all. I think he likes the coziness of it. Although eventually I will get him one of those larger square play pens for this purpose this works well for now. Yes its more expensive but its worth the money!
